Elliott the Groundhog is an educational ambassador with Acorn Acres Wildlife Rehabilitation in Millersville, Pennsylvania. After shadowing his big sister Poppy, Elliott took over her prognosticating duties for the first time in 2024. Departing from the more traditional ‘shadow’ technique, Elliot uses the “treat method” to make his prediction. He gets two identical treat dishes: one says “spring” and the other “winter.” Whichever bowl Elliot eats from is his prediction. Elliott is a bit of a sartorialist and has been known to wear a miniature tuxedo for special occasions.
