Pisgah Piper is the official ambassador and White Squirrel Day prognosticator for Brevard, North Carolina. Piper succeeds Pisgah Penny, who retired from making predictions after 2024. Piper is sight-impaired due to an accidental tumble out of a tree, but she works as twice as hard as most groundhogs: predicting the winner of the Super Bowl as well as the oncoming spring! “Who needs grumpy groundhog when you can have a beautiful white squirrel that not only predict spring’s arrival but the winner of the Super Bowl?” asks White Squirrel Day Master of Ceremonies Don Debiase.
