Lady Edwina of Essex is a gentlewoman groundhogess who makes an annual Groundhog Day forecast from the Turtle Back Zoo in New Jersey. Lady Edwina is a relatively junior prognosticator but she continues a proud prognosticating dynasty — taking over from Essex Ed, who retired from forecasting in 2021. Lady Edwina consults “models and maps”, not just shadows, to make 2 yearly predictions: one for the upcoming weather, and another for the results of the Super Bowl.
