About Allen

Allen McButterpants is a groundhog mascot and ambassador of the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center in Hampton Bays, New York. Allen has mobility issues which mean he can’t be released back into the wild, so he spends his time on training and exercise which help keep him in tip-top shape for his annual prognostications. Allen is a bit of a health nut, following a clean vegetarian diet of leafy greens, carrots, beets, and tomatoes, and keeping in shape with his digging-centric workouts. Allen is also keen on yoga and meditation, which contributes to his very calm and easy-going personality.
